Last Transfer! Week #71

Hello Everyone!!!!!
Well lets just say transfers are never a normal event for me. Late Monday night we got the call and I was moving. It was surprising to me and Sister Brown because we felt opposite. So I packed. I was way stressed out because as missionaries in Thailand, we accumulate things. I couldn't get rid of the stuff I need for another 6 weeks. But luckily it wasn't even stressful at all and it fit nicely in my bags. I don't know why packing was so hard when I moved from Bangkok last time. So lets just say somehow Sister Brown and I found out all the sisters that were staying and moving. We mapped it out who would go where. It was actually an easy proccess this time around. So I pack and say goodbye to the members and Roiet and we get on a bus. I finally fall asleep when our phone rings. It was the APs. Its happened to me enough on my mission to know what the call was about. So I answered. Poor Elder Cooper sounded really scared. He asked how saying goodbye in Roiet went and then told me I wouldn't be moving but that Sister Brown would be moving instead. We were already halfway to Bangkok. So we had to just finish the trip down. But because the AP felt bad, I tricked him into giving me information about transfers and where Sister Brown would be going and who my new companion would be. So I didn't know the actual place or the actual people but we had a good idea. I did however get him to confess my guess was right. I was supposed to die in Asoke with Sister Alley. I'm a little bumbed that isn't happening. But I am also way excited because I love Roiet and I get to be with Sister Larson!
Transfer meeting is so fun. I am going to miss it. We stayed with Sister Mamea in Chaeng Wattana. I actually made it all the way to transfer meeting without having to take the tire off my bike. So I convinced Sister Jo to ride our bikes to transfer meeting and we sent Sister Herrmann and Sister Brown in the taxi with all our stuff. Then I got to see all my friends. It was good. We got Que Pasa which was also good. :) I don't know just watch the video... Transfers can't be explained in words. Ha ha
So coming back to Roiet was fun. We had SO much luggage but luckily 8 missionaries going back. Sister Brown had to drag her companion back so she could pack her stuff. I ended up just leaving a suitcase behind in Asoke with Sister Alley so we wouldn't have to deal with it. Good thing too, we could barely fit the amount of stuff on the bus as it was. Bikes just take up so much space! Luckily all of the members seemed happy I was staying. Although the relief society president thought it was weird to see me without Sister Brown. We white washed in together so the members really saw us as one instead of individuals. But they welcomed me back. The bishop even said thanks for coming back. Ha ha They are way excited that I die here too. Its funny. The Thai people love their greenies and dying missionaries.
So at least from this experience one thing I was able to learn is President Senior wasn't out to get me. Its really just God that always changes his mind about where I go last minute when it comes to transfers. It almost makes me wonder if the Apostles went through that when they assigned my call.
I bet you are all on a spiritual high from conference already. Unfortunatley I have to wait until this next weekend. I am so excited for it though! From the things I have heard it sounds so good! I hope you all watched it. If not, it is never too late. LDS.org people.
As I was reading through the Book of Mormon today, I was in the story of Helaman's army. I love reading this story because those men were so... good. They were obedient and firm. But the quality that really shows is their faith. After one of the battles they gathered the injured and not a single son of Helaman was killed. There were at least 1,000 Nephite men killed in that battle. The other men who fought in the battle questioned why so many men died but not a single one from Helaman's army. They concluded it was their faith. They never doubted that God would protect them. It wasn't their skill that perserved their lives. It was their faith and Heavenly Father. I know that as we have faith to accomplish things that are good in our life, Heavenly Father will help us. It is only up to us to not doubt. I want to invite all of you to continue holding out faithful and to never doubt. As you do so, miracles can and will happen.
I love you all! I hope you had a great week!

Sorry out of time! Also, I didn't take many pictures anyways.... Maybe just check Sister Herrmann's blog and get hers. Ha ha She is the one who owns the selfie stick.

This must be how she was going to transfer. This is the 3rd (or 4th?) time she was told she was or wasn't transferring and it ended up being the opposite.

Awesomeodd and awesome baptisms! Week #70

Hello everyone!
This was a great week! We had 2 switchoffs but we made everyone come to our area for a change. Ha ha I got to switch off with Sister Herrmann! It was way fun. We went LA hunting and tracked down all these addresses with the help of the post office workers. They have this big book of old addresses with the new ones. All of the church reccords have the old addresses so that was way helpful!
The other I switch off I got to go on was with Sister T. She is Sister Zoller's ลูก... Sister Z trained her. But that was forever ago now. She is such a good missionary. I was way impressed. I felt bad too because all of our plans fell through so it wasn't all that great of a day. She stayed happy and worked hard through all of it. While having to make a ton of phone calls to confirm plans for their baptism the next day.
This week we made a trip out to Awesomeodd (I really have no idea how to spell it). That is the area out 30 kilos where all of our investigators live these days. The people out there are so prepared and ready to hear the gospel.
This week we had 3 of our investigators get baptized! They are adorable. Two of them are 14 and one is nine. At first we didn't give them much attention because normally kids that age will come for a bit and then leave and never hold out til their baptism. But these kids proved it hard core. Their grandpa died the day of their baptism and their mom called and said they couldn't come. She wouldn't explain why so we were a little hard on her and told her this was the most important day in the world. Then we talked to one of the 14 year olds and she told us she would find a way to get to church. They came a little late but due to the circumstances of a dead grandpa I think thats ok. They showed so much faith coming to church and putting that first before anything else. After their testimonies were super cute. All about being happy because they were baptized and knowing God lives and that they will keep his commandments.
This has really been a great transfer. Our whole zone got balanced every week! That is crazy and I am pretty sure unheard of. The missionaries in the Roiet zone are just so full of faith and hard work. I've loved every moment of it. Yesterday alone, our zone had 19 baptisms split between just 4 areas (2 of which are one district). The miracles are just pouring down.
This is the scripture I want to share for this week. I feel it is approriate with what is happening.
"And because he hath done this, my beloved brethren, have miracles ceased? Behold I say unto you, Nay; neither have angels ceased to minister unto the children of men." -Moroni 7: 29
I know that God was, is and always will be a God of miracles. The miracles come in accordance to our faith. If you are wondering where the miracles are around you, either open your eyes or check the level of your faith. If you need more faith, pray and read your scriptures. Nothing else can help more than those 2 simple steps.
I hope you have all had a great week! Love you!

Nothing to do but have fun. Week #69

Hello!
Sorry no updates last week. We just had MLC and did some trainings. I got to go train in Galasin! Its been a dream of mine to go there since that is where my trainer moved from when training me. Its really not nearly as small as people make it sound. I would almost argue Roiet is smaller. MLC was way good though. Some really good missonaries have been called to leadership. It was probably my favorite meeting. Its great to see that all these strong fiery passionate personalities can sit down in the same room and be unified together in the work of the Lord. Even if they all do missionary work differently, that room was full of love and respect. It was awesome.
This week was zone conference and it was so fun! We got to go to Ubon. Because Sister Brown and I are always leaving our area, we were smart enough to take our bikes. She got to show me around and we attempted to visit some RCs. It was fun! The best part might have been the food. They have some really good farrang (foreigener) food there.
The actual zone conference was way good. We got to learn how to make plans and processes through triangleception. We learned all about diligence. I way loved it. The night before the meeting, we had a game night with the missionaries. I don't think we have ever just had fun as missionaried before unless you figure it out on a Pday. It actually felt really weird the whole time. Just sitting down and having fun. Ha ha Before it started Sister Browna and I kept going around asking for projects or ways we could help. There weren't any. We didn't even know what to do with ourselves. It was so funny.
After the trip to Ubon, we had a lot of work to do in our area. We are working with these young kids and their families that live 30 kilos away. Its always so hard because we feel way bad making members drive us out there all the time. But if we ride our bikes it gets dark before we can come home because they can't meet til they are home from school. Then it is dangerous and the members get mad at us. I think we've finally figured out a system though. We are going to try it out this week. I just hope that the distance isn't what stops these people from progressing and acting on their faith to grow it even more. What they really need is baptism and the gift of the holy ghost! Two of the kids should for sure be getting baptized this Sunday though so I am super excited for them. They got to watch 4 of the Elders investigators get baptized yesterday and they looked up at us with pleading eyes asking, "Thats us next week right?" These kids just have so much faith its amazing!
I forgot to mention that at zone conference, I gave what we call a จบing testimony. It kind of translates to: your home the next time we have a zone conference (which still happens before the group that goes home right after us is done) so we need you to bare your testimony. It was kind of weird. My whole mission that day always seemed so far away. And then it was there and I had to stand up and say my final words. (Am I really that close to going home?) It was fun because Sister Brown and Sister Herrmann both got to be there and give their testimonies too.
I love being a missionary. I love being able to proclaim the truth to everyone around me at all times. I hope that all of you have a chance this week to stand for truth and righteousness!
Love you all!
